Tragedy Strikes Buxar: Renowned Bhojpuri singer Chhotu Pandey, along with Chhotu’s nephew Anu Pandey, lyricist Satya Prakash Mishra Bairagi, actress Simran Srivastava, and Aanchal Tiwari, lost their lives in a devastating road accident near Devkali on National Highway 2 in the Mohania police station area of Kaimur district, Bihar. The incident claimed the lives of nine individuals, leading to a prolonged traffic jam on NH. Authorities, including the police and NHAI team, swiftly responded, initiating the process of recovering the bodies and conducting a thorough investigation.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar expressed profound grief over the tragic incident. He emphasized the need for ensuring proper treatment for the injured and extending government assistance to the families of the deceased.
According to available information, a Scorpio traveling from Sasaram towards Varanasi lost control near Devkali village, Mohania NH 2. The vehicle veered off course after colliding with a motorcyclist, crossed the divider, and collided with an oncoming container on the opposite side, resulting in a severe collision.
The tragic incident claimed the lives of a total of nine individuals, including both the Scorpio rider and the motorcyclist, who died instantly at the scene. Authorities are presently engaged in the process of identifying the deceased. The bodies have been transferred to Bhabhua Sadar Hospital for post-mortem examinations.
Providing details, Mohania SDPO Dilip Kumar stated that the Scorpio was traveling from Sasaram and heading towards Uttar Pradesh via Mohania. In an attempt to avoid the collision with the biker, the Scorpio driver maneuvered the vehicle to the opposite side of the divider, inadvertently striking the bike and then colliding forcefully with the container approaching from the opposite direction. Unfortunately, all eight individuals traveling in the Scorpio lost their lives, and the bike rider also succumbed to the accident.
